Marian Kingsriter, wife of the late Rev. Arvid Kingsriter (2011), passed away on Monday morning, February 17, 2014.
Marian was the daughter of James and Agnes Menzie. James and a fellow pastor named Frank Lindquist, were the first Assemblies of God ministers to come to Minnesota and found churches, driving from Pennsylvania in an old Reo truck. The church that Frank Lindquist founded was named Minneapolis Gospel Tabernacle (now Christ Church International), and it was in the basement of that church's original building that North Central University first began.
